    Katy Lindhart
Lauded for her "large, robust, and flexible voice" (Bachtrack) and "sparkling stage presence” (St. Louis Dispatch), Katy Lindhart is an exciting young singer to watch.
In 2016, Katy made a widely lauded debut with Boston's Odyssey Opera, singing Giunia in Mozart's Lucio Silla. The Boston Globe praised her performance, saying she sang with "an impressive combination of accuracy, musicality and sheer stamina." Later that year also sang the diva Daria Garbinatti in Donizetti's wildy funny Viva la Mamma! with Florida Lyric Opera. In 2017 Katy will cover Older Alyce in Glory Denied with Opera Upper West, will debut as Marguerite in Faust for Summer Garden Opera, and will return to Salt Marsh Opera to sing Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni.
Katy’s 2015 season began with a debut at Opera Columbus as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro. Katy then returned to her hometown of Des Moines, Iowa to sing the soprano solo in Andrew Lippa’s I Am Harvey Milk with the Des Moines Gay Men’s Chorus, where she was praised for demonstrating “a beautiful legato line without sacrificing a moment of text clarity.” In the spring, Katy appeared in the American premiere of Telemann’s Brockes Passion in at the Cincinnati Bach Festival as Tochter Zion, singing an astonishing 23 arias. Katy then returned to the Lexington Philharmonic as the 1st Niña in Golijov’s Aindamar and debuted with Salt Marsh Opera as Pamina in The Magic Flute. That winter Katy made a role and house debut with LoftOpera as Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia, where her performance was praised as “shattering” (NY Observer).
In 2014, Katy appeared with Winter Opera Saint Louis as Nanetta in Falstaff and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro. The St. Louis Dispatch said of her Susanna that “A case could be made that instead of Figaro, his fiancé Susanna’s name should be in the title… Her Susanna bounced merrily about the stage, tossing off difficult high notes and rapid vocal lines without strain or struggle. Her expert acting turned a role that could easily devolve into slapstick into something substantial and believable." That same year, Katy debuted with the Lexington Philharmonic to sing the soprano solo in Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night's Dream and toured as Micaëla in Carmen: Redux for Cincinnati Opera. Katy also returned to Kentucky Opera in as Marzelline in Fidelio, and was praised as a “gifted actress and a delight to watch” (WFPL Louisville).
In 2013, Katy was a Gerdine Young Artist for Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, covering Isabel in The Pirates of Penzance. She was also a young artist for Kentucky Opera, and appeared as Zerlina in Don Giovanni in 2013, where she was lauded as "a standout" for her "marvelous character playing and physical comedy" (Arts Louisville), and as Noémie in Cendrillon. Katy spent two seasons as an Artist-In-Residence with Dayton Opera, covering Marie in La Fille du Regiment and bowing as Marzelline in Fidelio in 2011, as well as covering Adina and singing Gianetta in L'elisir d'amore, which the Oakwood Register called an "impressive debut" and performing Sylviane in The Merry Widow in 2009.
